Converse One Star Academy Ox Shoes
Offering a distinctively old-school 70’s vibe, this amber ochre edition of the Converse One Star Academy Ox Shoes boasts hairy suede uppers with black textile accents and a shiny off-white rubber outsole. Inspired by styles found within the brands extensive design archive and constructed so that the textural suede can take centre stage, a traditional lace up system includes cotton laces that match the lining of the ankle - constructed from cotton canvas - which continues across the backing of the lace eyelet panel, resulting in a strong and durable finish. Decoration on both of the side walls includes a line of perforated holes within the suede and two lines of black cotton either side of a cut out star emblem.
Additional attention has been given to the front of the toes with a split layer of textured rubber upon layered foxing tape, coloured all in off-white. A branded license plate heel tab showcases ‘Converse One Star’ lettering in black, promoting the brands Chuck Taylor design origins as part of the One Star series. A popular fabric from late 2018, hairy suede continues forward into the new year offering a characteristic finish across everyday footwear.
